Will a patio coating stay slip-resistant when wet?
Yes. We include anti-slip aggregate in the topcoat for every patio install. The aggregate is sized for foot traffic and bare-feet use (more comfortable than aggressive industrial anti-slip). Pool decks and wet-prone areas get a slightly heavier aggregate spec.
How does a coated patio handle direct sun?
Polyaspartic is UV-stable, so the color and finish do not degrade under sun exposure. Lighter colors stay measurably cooler underfoot than bare concrete; darker colors run warmer (similar to bare concrete) but resist UV degradation just the same.
What does it cost to coat a patio?
Typical residential patio coatings run $5 to $9 per square foot installed. A 400-square-foot patio runs $2,000 to $3,600 depending on flake, color, and prep complexity. Pool deck coatings often run higher because of the larger square footage and required anti-slip spec.
